Hi my name is Ananda. This is my media blog which I have used to make different posts, and where I have shown the process of each of the tasks that I have completed. Here you are able to see the work I have created (Research and Planning) leading up to my Ancillary task and my Final Product.
After having looked at posters and film scenes for TASK THREE: Mood Board, I wanted to find further primary research to gain some more inspiration for our ancillary task. Once we have finished our Trailer we then have to think about the marketing of our film. For this, I looked at a variety of different film posters which I thought were effective.
The second convention of thriller posters that I noticed was the layout of the poster and the font used for the title and other text. The majority of the time the main title is at the bottom of the poster and the subject of the poster is usually the protagonist of the movie. In the images of the posters above, you can see a pattern where the poster gives a way a bit of the film with either a question or a statement: 'Who do you trust?' What will you sound like when you die?' 'Someone is missing' All of these conventions are what we will take into account when creating our ancillary task. This way it is clear to our audience what genre our film is an it gives them an idea on what our film will be about. The Devil Inside Poster AnalysisThe Silence of the Lambs Poster Analysis
